Announcing the Poor People’s Press

Poor People's Press is a Kensington-based business that produces, manages, and promotes merchandise for organizations at the forefront of the revolution.

Poor People’s Press is a woman-owned business creating merchandise such as T-shirts, cups, hats, etc. servicing, in particular, local non-profit organizations. With the Poor People’s Press office based in the center of Kensington, considered one of the most dangerous areas of Philadelphia with its high rate of gun violence and drug use, the business will contribute towards the local community by providing employment to people wanting to get off the streets. The grassroots business will focus on creating merchandise for non-profits in the area that are promoting social justice, economic empowerment, and educational programs for local children. The business is entirely run by formerly homeless, incarcerated, and drug users who are women and minorities.
