Economic Human Rights RETREAT THIS DECEMBER!
Join the Poor People's Army in December 2024 for an Economic Human Rights Retreat in the Philadelphia area, to discuss next steps in the movement for economic human rights. Exact dates and location TBA, but we expect to host at a retreat center in the Philadelphia area mid-December, with overnight accommodations and food included (suggested donations $10-150).
Panelists will include Cheri Honkala and Galen Tyler, founders of Poor People's Army and Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign.
What are "economic human rights?" Any human rights that are tied to economics under the current system-- jobs/income, healthcare, housing, clothes, food, education. All these things are human rights according to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. All of them are tied to money.
