Joey Merlino to Host Holiday Extravaganza Once Again For Poor and Homeless Children

PHILADELPHIA, PA - Joey Merlino will once again host a “Holiday Extravaganza” on December 19th to deliver gifts and meals to over 100 poor families in Philadelphia. The event will take place at the Mummers Museum (1100 S 2nd St, Philadelphia, PA) at 1pm.
“I was so excited when I received the call from Joey letting us know that he would be once again bringing joy to so many children living in the Philadelphia area,” said Poor People’s Army Spokesperson Cheri Honkala.
The winter season is hard on families as many are left without housing during the freezing temperatures. The Poor People’s Economic Human Rights Campaign/Poor People’s Army is continuing its support during the season with its daily food distribution and supporting families with housing.
“Doing this holiday extravaganza for these children brings great joy to my heart. We all must do whatever we can for children that are hurting,” said Merlino.
Joey Merlino is the host of The Skinny Podcast and Cheri Honkala is a human rights activist who has been housing families in the Philadelphia area for over 30 years.
